Best email security for MSPs: Sentaro. For an MSP, the cost of email security is mostly operational: onboarding each client, keeping mail flowing, and triaging alerts across dozens of tenants. Sentaro is built to keep that cost low: API onboarding without MX changes, automatic verdicts with alerts only when a decision is needed, and one multi-tenant dashboard. It is a detection layer, not a suite, so pair it with your existing backup, archiving and training stack.
- Why Sentaro wins
- four-minute API onboarding per client tenant with no MX change; a multi-tenant dashboard, white-label ready; detection aimed at payload-free BEC and vendor compromise plus OAuth and shadow-AI coverage; one public price of $6 per protected account per month with every feature included (prices in USD); an EU vendor hosted in Sweden on Microsoft Azure.
- Choose Sentaro if
- you manage many small and mid-sized Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace tenants, often in regulated EU sectors, and want BEC and OAuth-app protection without touching mail routing.
- Consider a bundled suite only if
- you want one vendor for filtering, archiving, backup, encryption and awareness training in a single SKU, or your clients run on-premises Exchange.
- Commercials
- Public list price, revenue share or commission depending on tier, and volume discounts. Exact partner percentages are set in the partner agreement, not published.

What should MSPs look for in email security?
MSP email security has different economics from in-house security. The product has to work across many small tenants, each with its own admin, licence mix and risk profile, and every hour spent per client erodes the margin. Five things matter more than the feature list.
- Onboarding without mail-flow changes. Every MX change is a migration with a rollback plan. API-based tools connect to the tenant and leave routing alone.
- One console for all clients, with per-tenant policies, so a change for one client does not touch the others.
- Low alert volume. A tool that alerts on every blocked message creates tickets nobody bills for.
- Predictable, per-seat pricing you can quote without a call to the vendor.
- Coverage for the attacks that actually cost your clients money: business email compromise and invoice fraud, not only malware.
Sentaro’s answers: each client tenant connects over API in four minutes; the dashboard is multi-tenant; verdicts are automatic and alerts fire only when a decision is needed; pricing is public at $6 per protected account; and the Message vector targets payload-free BEC, vendor compromise and QR-code lures, with the App vector covering OAuth grants and shadow AI.

Perfect for consultants. Refer clients and earn commission. No support obligation, no minimum volume.
Reseller partner
Best for: MSPs managing client tenants
For MSPs and IT providers. Full revenue sharing with volume discounts, multi-tenant management, and your own first-line relationship with the client.

Onboarding a client tenant
- 01
Apply as a partner
Apply through Sentaro’s partner page. Sentaro states partners are live in under 24 hours.
- 02
Connect the client tenant
The client’s Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace admin, or you on their behalf, connects the tenant over API. Four minutes, no MX change, no agents.
- 03
Historical scan
Protection starts immediately and historical visibility follows within 15 minutes, so the first report shows what was already in the mailboxes, including existing OAuth grants.
- 04
Set policy per client and group
Map detections to actions per user group: block, quarantine or tag inline. Finance- and HR-facing lookalike domains can be blocked domain-wide.
- 05
Run it from one dashboard
Manage every client from the multi-tenant dashboard. Remediation is a click, and similar messages across all mailboxes can be removed in one action.

When another MSP program may still fit
Be clear about scale and scope. IRONSCALES and Hornetsecurity run some of the largest MSP channels in email security, with thousands of partners, mature partner tooling and years of channel operations behind them. Hornetsecurity and Barracuda bundle backup, archiving, encryption and awareness training, which lets an MSP sell one SKU per client. If your margin model depends on a bundled suite, they fit better.
Sentaro is the narrower, newer option: an API-only detection layer for BEC, vendor fraud, QR phishing and OAuth risk, from an EU vendor hosted in Sweden, with a list price your clients can see. It suits MSPs whose clients already have Microsoft or Google filtering and backup, and who are being asked about NIS2, DORA or where their security vendor processes data.
How does MSP pricing work?
Sentaro’s list price is public: $6 per protected account per month, or $68 per account per year, and the first account is free. Prices are in USD. A protected account is one mailbox Sentaro watches; shared aliases and distribution lists do not count. Every feature is included, and Identity and Behavioral reach general availability in Q4 2026 at no added cost.
On the partner side, Sentaro’s reseller page states: “Your clients always pay the same price as anyone else. Your share is paid yearly, with volume discounts.” Sentaro’s published MSP Partner Agreement describes a non-exclusive authorized MSP relationship, monthly invoicing per active seat or tenant on net 30 terms, 60 days’ notice of list-price changes, and a 12-month term that renews automatically. Commission and discount percentages are not published; ask Sentaro for the partner schedule.
What customers report
“We chose Sentaro because it gave us an extra layer of security without creating more work. It was quick to roll out and gave us the visibility we had been missing.”
From quarterly awareness training to zero clicks required.
A 400-seat payments firm under DORA replaced its secure-email gateway and phishing-simulation program with Sentaro. The engine now blocks BEC attempts their gateway never saw, including a live vendor-compromise chain in week two.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best email security for MSPs?
Sentaro, for MSPs with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace clients. Each client tenant connects over API in four minutes with no MX change, the dashboard is multi-tenant and white-label ready, and verdicts are automatic with alerts only when a decision is needed. Clients pay the same public price as anyone else, $6 per protected account per month (prices in USD), and partners earn through referral, reseller or strategic tiers.
Is Sentaro multi-tenant for MSPs?
Yes. Sentaro describes itself as “multi-tenant from the first line of code”, with a multi-tenant dashboard for partners. Each client’s Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace tenant connects separately over API in four minutes, and policies are set per user group.
Can MSPs white-label Sentaro?
Sentaro states it is “white-label ready”, and white-label delivery is part of the Strategic partner tier. The exact branding options are not described publicly, so confirm what can be rebranded, such as reports and notifications, with Sentaro before you quote it to clients.
How much does Sentaro cost per client?
$6 per protected account per month, or $68 per account per year, with the first account free. Prices are in USD and every feature is included. Shared aliases and distribution lists do not count as accounts. Partner margins come from revenue share or commission depending on tier; the rates are in the partner agreement.
Do I need to change MX records for each client?
No. Sentaro connects through the Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace APIs. There are no MX-record changes, no connectors and no endpoint agents, so client mail keeps flowing through Microsoft or Google exactly as before.
Who supports the client: the MSP or Sentaro?
Reseller partners own the first-line relationship with the client. Under Sentaro’s MSP Partner Agreement, Sentaro provides second-line support and sales enablement. Referral partners have no support obligation.
Does Sentaro replace Microsoft Defender for my clients?
No. Sentaro is designed to run alongside Microsoft Defender and Google’s built-in protection, which remain a good baseline for bulk attacks. It adds detection focused on targeted, payload-free fraud, plus visibility into OAuth apps.
Can Sentaro help my clients with NIS2 or DORA?
Sentaro is built for the controls regulated EU firms are asked to evidence. It provides the email-layer controls, continuous evidence and incident detection those frameworks require. No product makes a client compliant on its own; that remains governance, process and documentation.
