Sentaro is the better choice than Nudge Security for EU teams on Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, and each reason can be checked: it connects over API in four minutes with no MX change; its App vector, live since Q3 2026, builds a live inventory of every app, AI tool and OAuth grant within 15 minutes and revokes risky grants in one click; its Message vector, live since Q2 2026, stops phishing, BEC, vendor fraud and the consent-phishing lures that exploit those apps in the same seat, with reasoning shown on every verdict; its price, $6 per protected account per month with every feature included, is published on sentaro.com/en/pricing; and it is hosted in Sweden on Microsoft Azure, with subprocessors listed in its public DPA.
- Choose Sentaro if…
- you want app, AI-tool and OAuth-grant discovery plus phishing, BEC and consent-phishing protection in one API connection, and would rather buy one tool than two.
- Why Sentaro wins
- discovery plus enforcement: consent-phishing lures are blocked before the grant lands, and Slack and Teams messages are scored by the same engine as email.
- Consider Nudge only if…
- you already have email security and want a full SaaS governance program: ownership, offboarding, posture checks, spend and employee workflows.
Key differences: why Sentaro
Email protection included
Sentaro does discovery and email protection in one engine. Nudge uses email metadata as a discovery source; email threat filtering is not in its published product list.
Enforcement, not just visibility
Sentaro revokes risky OAuth grants in one click and blocks consent phishing in mail flow.
Slack and Teams too
Sentaro scores Slack and Teams messages with the same engine as email. We found no message scoring documented on nudgesecurity.com (October 2026).
Pricing
Both publish prices (October 2026): Sentaro $6 per protected account per month, first account free, monthly billing; Nudge $750/month (Essential) or $5/user/month (Growth), billed annually. Prices in USD.

Why shadow IT and email protection belong in the same conversation
Shadow IT is a governance question: who signed up for what, who owns it, what it costs. It is also an attack surface. Consent phishing tricks a user into granting a malicious or lookalike app access to their mailbox or files, sometimes an app impersonating a known brand or AI tool. The lure arrives by email; the damage happens through an OAuth grant that a password reset alone does not revoke.
Sentaro covers both halves in one engine. The Message vector blocks consent-phishing lures in mail flow. The App vector surfaces new grants with their scopes, flags lookalike apps impersonating known brands or AI tools before access is approved, and lets an admin revoke a risky grant with one click. Legitimate tools are not blocked; only malicious apps and consent-phishing attempts are blocked automatically.
Nudge Security goes deeper on the governance half. Its published scope does not include filtering inbound mail, so the email half sits with whatever email security you run alongside it.
Why shadow AI is on the agenda
Nudge Security pricing vs Sentaro pricing
Both vendors publish prices. Nudge counts every licensed user with a mailbox in Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, including guests, contractors and shared mailboxes, and its pricing page says monitoring only a subset is generally not allowed. Sentaro counts protected accounts, meaning mailboxes it watches; shared aliases and distribution lists do not count. The figures below use annual list prices as published on 18 October 2026, in USD, for illustration only.
| Organization size | Nudge Security (list) | Sentaro Pro (list) |
|---|---|---|
| 100 users | Essential: $750/month, billed annually ($9,000/year) | 99 paid accounts × $68 = $6,732/year (first account free) |
| 500 users | Growth: $5/user/month ($30,000/year) | 499 × $68 = $33,932/year |
| What is included | SaaS discovery and governance | SaaS discovery plus phishing, BEC and consent-phishing protection |
Sentaro includes shadow IT discovery and email protection in every plan; neither is a separate module. At larger sizes Nudge’s per-user list price is lower than Sentaro’s, but its published plans do not list email threat protection, so the comparison is one tool against two.
Where Sentaro wins
- You need shadow IT discovery and email protection, and would rather buy one tool than two.
- You want consent-phishing lures blocked before the grant lands, not just discovered afterwards.
- You want Slack and Teams messages scored by the same engine as email.
- You want one published price for both: Sentaro is an API-based email and SaaS security platform for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, hosted in Sweden on Microsoft Azure, priced at $6 per protected account per month (USD).
We make Sentaro, so weigh this section accordingly: every point above comes from Sentaro’s published product information, and its limits are listed on this page too.
Where Nudge Security may still fit
- SaaS governance is the whole job: ownership, offboarding, posture checks, vendor breach alerts and spend.
- You need posture checks across third-party SaaS apps such as Okta, Salesforce or Zoom.
- You already have email security you are happy with, and at larger sizes Nudge’s per-user list price is lower.

Frequently asked questions
Is Sentaro better than Nudge Security?
Yes, for EU teams on Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace that want shadow IT discovery and protection in one tool. Sentaro inventories every app, AI tool and OAuth grant, revokes risky grants in one click, and blocks the phishing, BEC and consent-phishing lures that exploit those apps, for $6 per protected account per month. Prices in USD. Nudge may still fit if you need full SaaS governance and already have email security.
Does Nudge Security protect email?
Not according to its published scope. Nudge Security states that it connects to Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace with read-only API access and analyzes email metadata, not content, to discover SaaS and AI apps; phishing, BEC and malware protection are not in its published product list. Sentaro does both: app and OAuth discovery through the App vector and email threat protection through the Message vector.
Is Sentaro a Nudge Security alternative?
Yes, and it is our pick for shadow IT and shadow AI discovery with OAuth risk and revocation, because it adds email protection. For full SaaS governance, including offboarding, posture checks on apps like Okta or Salesforce, vendor breach alerts and cost optimization, Nudge Security goes further than Sentaro.
How much does Nudge Security cost?
Nudge Security lists Essential (up to 150 users) at $750 per month and Growth (150 to 1,500 users) at $5 per user per month, both billed annually; Enterprise is custom (pricing page, checked 18 October 2026). Sentaro costs $6 per protected account per month, or $68 per account per year; the first account is free. Prices in USD.
How quickly do I get an app inventory?
Sentaro produces a live inventory of every app, AI tool and OAuth grant within 15 minutes of connecting. Nudge states about five minutes to deploy and a full AI and SaaS inventory in under two hours, with up to two years of history.
Can I run Sentaro and Nudge Security together?
Yes. Both connect over API and neither requires an MX change. You can use Nudge for SaaS governance workflows and Sentaro for email protection and OAuth-grant enforcement.
